PreK-3 Remediation for Mastery of Literacy & Numeracy

The People demand immediate and persistent reform of PreK-3, and massive remediation investment to bring all children up to grade level by grade one.  The People are furious about the years of failure of the New Orleans Public School System (NOPS) to teach their children basic literacy and numeracy in PreK-3 where it must be mastered to have any hope of succeeding in the 9 subsequent years of school and throughout later life.  The People are outraged and grief-stricken that their children have been crippled for life by years of conspiracy by NOPS’ staffs evidenced by watered-down curriculums, social promotion, fraudulent testing, A’s and B’s that are outright lies.  We are all aghast that “over 1/3^rd” of New Orleans adults are functionally illiterate.  The People demand a major immediate and persistent investment concentrated in PreK-3 to bring all our children -- especially in our neighborhood schools -- up to grade level by the end of grade one.
