ACT's goal in public school education is nothing less than successful reform of the New Orleans Public Schools (NOPS,) so that they deliver teaching and remediation results on a par with what's already routinely achieved nationwide. 

Our initial primary focus must be on those grades where failed teaching is by far the most damaging and where success will have by far the greatest benefits, namely PreK-3 programs, especially in neighborhood schools, for these grades are the very beginning and foundation of all future learning and citizenship.
